Recent Awards – Brough Scott

2011 Highly Commended as “Interviewer of the Year” in the Sports Journalist Association Awards with a portfolio which included a piece on Sir Peter O’Sullevan the research for which entailed BS unsuccessfully trying to match the staying power of the 93 year old maestro through a 4 hour lunch.

2010 Journalist of The Year at the Horseracing Writers and Photographers Association Awards. The runner up was not even born when Brough Scott last won this in 1977.

2009 MBE from the Queen “for services to the Injured Jockeys Fund and Horseracing Journalism”. See fawning picture of Brough with HM at Windsor Castle
